As a follow-up or amendment to the proposal "Driving single-track vehicles with category B" (22.10.2013), I propose to amend the definition of an AM category motor vehicle. Namely; the maximum speed for AM motor vehicles should be raised to at least 60 km/h, and the cubic capacity should be raised proportionally, as this is a more appropriate cruising speed for intercity traffic and thus increases the possibility of cheaper travel from place to place or to work, especially in these times of austerity. Driving school, CPP and practical tests are too unfriendly to our wallets, so a few hours of informative and partly practical training could be offered, which, although optional, would be advisable for all those getting on a motorbike for the first time. It would also be an opportunity for driving schools to make some money, and it would be driver-friendly, as the prices would be much lower than for a normal test drive. Another possibility, perhaps more acceptable to the legislator, is to introduce a new category (AM2), with a top speed of 75 km/h and a proportional cubic capacity, but with a compulsory informative and partly practical training of a few hours' duration, without CPP, but with a practical test, including the condition that the person has passed the B category and thus also obtained the AM category. The main purpose of this proposal is to make it cheaper to travel longer distances between places. In this way, it will also increase the use and thus the safety of motorcyclists on the road, as awareness will be higher and the lower the ratio of car:motorcycle on the road, the safer the driving will be.
