Dear Sir or Madam, I suggest that you take into account certain relief factors when calculating your tax. For example, I will take the house I live in in Ljubljana and my parents' house in the village. The house in Ljubljana is on a plot of 450m2, floor area 88 km2, basement + 2 storeys. The net usable area per floor is 56m2, so 2 floors 112m2.There are 6 people living in the house, three generations, which means that the usable area per occupant is 18,67m2. The house is valued at 215.000 €. My parents have a house in the village on a plot of 800 m2, the house has 7 floors, the floor area of the house is 288 m2. I don't know the net area, but it is 200m2. 3 people live in the house, so 66,67m2 per person. The house is valued at 150.000 €. As far as infrastructure is concerned, they have: municipality, kindergarten, primary school, retirement home, shop, pharmacy, health centre, library, petrol station, cemetery, district heating, 10 km from Golnik hospital, 10 km from maternity hospital, etc. At least in Ljubljina, the institutions necessary for life are much more distant, even though we are in the city, and besides, living is much more expensive. Please, if you take into account the deduction for the number of inhabitants in the house when calculating the tax. I think it is absurd that if we have 3 generations living in a house in a small square metre that we pay more property tax than people who live in luxury in a larger square metre, and they get a relief because they are not in the city, because their properties are not as highly valued, even though they are better, younger and more qualified. A proposal that would be taken into account in the tax calculation: No relief should be given for the first three years, but after that we will pay 100%. The proposal should be such that it is fair for all. If you propose any of this, then even older people will not be as stubborn as they are and will be more likely to give property to younger people to use. As a result, young people will also start families sooner, and they cannot do so because their parents have an old-fashioned mentality. If I take the example of our house and our neighbour's house, we would each have to pay EUR 250 in property tax. If you put (my proposal) the reinforcements on each member it is 50% less for me, which means we would pay 125€ in property tax, which means it is still 30€ more than now. The neighbour should pay 225€. Please don't give me an answer, but go to live with you, because you have parents?? Yes, I do, but they are deaf, just like our government! The old saying goes "hit him in the pocket/wallet and he will come to his senses". If you are already looking at who and what you are going to tax, then really look and see, do not do it in such a way that you protect yourself along with it. Otherwise, honourable Government, I have to tell you that I am currently employed for one month and then, at 45, I will be unemployed. I have to tell you 'proudly' that the last time I worked for such a small salary was 8 years ago and I was not threatened with dismissal and the cost of living was much lower. Will you also give some relief for the unemployed?? Greetings from me, a Ljubljana resident who grows more indignant every day. Barbara
