On Slovenian roads and streets, speed bumps of all shapes appear as if they were a matter of artistic expression rather than following standard vehicle shapes. The result is scuffed chassis, broken exhausts and greatly reduced suspension life. In this way, we are impoverishing the taxpayers, who are expected to pay all sorts of taxes and, at the same time, to be loyal and happy with the state. This does not go together. I therefore propose to prescribe a standard speed barrier cross-section (humps) which, at the speed and full load commanded, will still allow the vehicle to be driven at that speed, without any consequences for the vehicle's chassis. This should also take into account vehicles which are lowered and which have been approved by the State as still being of an acceptable height. All other forms of asphalt creation should be checked and, if necessary, corrected or modified. Many of the too-angular and too-tall ones are the result of the emotional charge of individual savages who, by driving absolutely too fast, may have caused an accident somewhere that would not have happened even if there had been a half-size bump. We are all being punished because of this anger and exaggeration, not to mention the petrol consumption, the additional air pollution in such a street, the loss of time per employee. If we are to become an efficient society, we must take such 'little things' into account and stop the poachers so that the effect is achieved without unnecessary harm. After all, these obstacles are road structures, the design of which should be strictly defined by law.
