What will we live on in Slovenia? There is no doubt about it. The government and related parties have the answer. Higher taxes. The Republic of Slovenia cannot introduce a property tax. There is no doubt about that. The correct interpretation of property tax abroad is its limited, commercial ownership - tenant title, so leasehold owner. The true owner of the land is historically conditional, and the imposition of a land tax is the result of the use of foreign land by the user - the citizen - which is received by the State, for the benefit of the owner, or from contractual rights of compensation, for the benefit of the State. Since we Slovenians are unlimited owners of real estate, no interference by the State in the sphere of individual property is possible. Tax is a part of income or, abroad, also a payment for the right to use the land - rent. It is not more than that. Any levy by the state to reduce the property of the individual is a confiscation or confiscation of private property, even if it is gradual. Nationalisation of real estate is only possible under special conditions, in special cases. There is no legal basis for a property tax in Slovenia. The State is obliged to protect the private property of the individual. It has no rights to confiscation, not even carried out on a multi-year basis. Property is a fundamental human right and therefore a constitutionally protected category, and more broadly by the United Nations Declaration. It is absolutely clear that the state has no rights to interfere with property rights, but it does have an economic right to a share of the income from the property. It already fully exercises this. Any interference with private property which has the effect of diminishing it has no legal basis, is not permitted by the Constitution and is therefore prohibited and consequently punishable. A resounding no to property taxes! The entire budget can be financed in nominal terms from lower taxes from increased economic activity. Increased household consumption at home and competitive business conditions on the export side can ensure the volume of economic activity and all aggregate needs.
