Dear Sir or Madam, My husband and I pay land-use compensation and, of course, house/property tax. However, we realised some years ago that many of our citizens do not pay any property tax at all, and not all property owners pay land-use compensation, let alone property tax. Even when Mr Simic was at DURS and they had an "open" phone, when asked why some of us respect the "tax" order, but some of us do not have to, and NO ONE has tapped them on the sleeve, even after the GURS building and housing inventory campaign, they replied that this is just the way it is, and that they are "working on it". Please just answer me, are those of us who respect the rule of law "donkeys in the cubicle" and should we just stop paying the levies until they apply to all citizens?! GURS has spent millions on registering property, and I wonder why there is still no benefit from the census to this day. There would be no "holes" in the budget if the STATE treated everyone the same! I suggest that you immediately tax those who are on the register of the GURS but not on the tax register! Don't chase "flies" while releasing "elephants"! I still believe that your government will, however, make all citizens equal, and as soon as possible! And good luck! Breda and Peter Arnšek
