Hello! I have a few words to say. Namely, as a student, I am currently very outraged by the new draft law on student work. I should point out that I have been working as a student for 3 years now, for the entire period of my studies, which I have been doing on a full-time basis. I have also passed all my exams within the regular deadlines. I work 16 hours at weekends. So 8 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday. The work I do does not restrict my studies in any way. The monthly income I get is around 300 euros and I can live on this money for a month. I pay for my dormitory, transport from my home town to Ljubljana where I study, buy clothes and food. If I did not have this money, I would be on the shoulders of my parents, who, if we are honest, are not doing very well at the moment, because they are supporting my younger brother, who is also studying outside my home town. I would suggest, however, that you seriously consider adopting a new law, because it would make it impossible for many people to study and also to live a decent life. Why cannot you simply introduce more intensive inspections of 'students' who 'study' simply to work or to have a status? If nothing else, it would open up new jobs in the field of inspection. Students who are really studying would be able to continue to earn. Let me remind you that you have already done the same with the introduction of the anti-smoking law. You simply banned smoking, instead of just tightening up inspection , which would have kept strictly separate smoking and non-smoking areas. Could it be that you wanted more people who smoke outside in the cold to get ill? And thus overfill the state coffers through the health service, because more people are sick. I admit that the examples are a little absurd, but I think they are worth considering. Regards, Manca KoĊĦmrl
