I propose that job brokerage be abolished as a profit-making activity and that job brokerage be taken over by the Employment Service as a non-profit-making activity. The abuse of labour brokerage to enrich and exploit the socially weak is a criminal act and has no place in a modern welfare state, as Slovenia is supposed to be. Above all, it is necessary to abolish work through student referrals, since only some officials of student organisations earn commission.
Ask yourselves why even the state-owned Petrol covers the regular work of its petrol stations with students, as well as all sick leave and regular annual leave. And it sacks pregnant workers on a temporary basis, without allowing them to take maternity leave.
Healthcare institutions prefer to pay overtime, 24 and 48 hours on call, when the person on duty is sleeping or studying or just preparing for work in a private clinic. Who would let a person who has not slept for 40 hours, even if he is the only one in the world, be operated on? We know that only the bosses are on minimum duty to improve their pay, everything else goes to the service.
At the same time, all employers who do not pay their employees' salaries, or do not pay their contributions to PIZ, ZZ and parental care, should be immediately banned from disposing of all assets, company, managers and their family members (joint household). Since the Companies Act is not clear and rigorous enough towards these corporate scoundrels, it must be corrected so that they sit behind bars and reap their debts for the rest of their lives.
Why is it that a healthy person with, say, a debt of EUR 30 000, aged 45, can now declare personal bankruptcy and wait for the probationary period of 5 years to pass, while still receiving cash social assistance? He can continue to work illegally and earn money out of his hand.
These individuals, who are supposedly unemployable, should be obliged to work 10 hours a day through public works without remuneration in order to repay their debt to society. Introduce tax boxes already, so that there will be peace and we honest taxpayers will be relieved.
