I propose to the Government of Slovenia to immediately raise VAT by 3 percentage points, both at the higher and lower rates. Only in this way will we not have to ask for financial assistance from Brussels. I also propose that an additional 5% tax be imposed on all salaries of employees in the Republic of Slovenia (those above €500), namely a temporary anti-crisis tax. The tax should be paid directly into the state budget. This is to ensure the funds for the normal functioning of the state. Once a certain % of economic growth (UMAR) has been established, the tax is abolished. In addition, an extraordinary tax of 5% is levied on all corporate and personal profits. This is not a tax on transactions but on net profits. These funds are also paid directly into the State budget. Once a certain % of economic growth (UMAR) has been established, this profit tax is abolished. The introduction of these temporary taxes is necessary for the normal functioning of the State. The DURS is also required to immediately recover unpaid taxes. In the event of inability to pay, the assets are to be confiscated and sold at public auction. Individuals hide behind insolvency and invest their money elsewhere.
