Question: is it normal for employees to be paid differently for snack time, meeting time, holiday time, strike time......
All employees do the same work for their snack time. They eat. Then why do they get different pay for the hours they eat.
For meeting time, they all work or don't work. But the pay is different for the meeting time.
For leave time, no one does anything. The pay is different for zero work.
For strike time, no one works nothing. But the pay is different.
I could go on and on, but think about it a little.
