I propose that the government abolish the student service and student service work I know that a similar topic has already been raised, but I have opened a new one anyway. I know of more and more cases where a job is filled by students who are not qualified for the job and have no experience whatsoever. Of course - cheaper labour, no taxes, no snacks, no travel expenses and no contributions to the Social Insurance Institution, but at the same time, this is to the detriment of all those who are in regular employment and those who are looking for a job and therefore do not get one, because the employers would rather employ a student through the student service for the job that the unemployed are looking for, because of the lower costs. I think that this has gone well over the line in this country as far as student work is concerned, which is not even properly supervised. Some people also work through other referrals, they cheat, and those who have their own referral come to work when they come, they are even absent more of the time than they are present at work, in short, they are always entitled to be absent, and in some companies, shops and institutions they really have a lot of work and they would need a regular and reliable workforce that would come to work every day. I can somehow understand if this is happening in private companies, but for it to happen even in state services and even in kindergartens is unacceptable. Make no mistake... I myself am in full-time employment and I do work that I enjoy, but I know educated people who are in need, who are in various debts, who urgently need to get a job, but who are not getting one because the state, in fact, even through its support for student work, is denying them the right to employment. It is well known that even this employment of students through the student service leads, in the long term, to the collapse of the pension system and to more and more unemployed people. I also wonder what students get out of student work. They do not have any working time anyway. In fact, they are at a standstill throughout, even if they do not pass their exams. Students also have some prior education and could apply to the employment service and find a job if they already want to work while studying. I am already wondering, do you have to be a student in this country to get a job???? That is a legitimate question to ask, as the demand from employers for students is increasing, but then who is going to pay into the pension fund anyway???? I am of the opinion that students should study if they have already decided to do so, and the state should finance their studies with scholarships for those who could not afford to study without them. This could also be done by means of consumer credit, which would enable students to pay for their studies and, once they are employed, to start paying them back or repaying them. I have nothing against students otherwise, but students are supposed to study first and foremost, and lately I have noticed that they are doing everything else rather than studying. They work, they party, they go to bars, some of them are actually perpetual students and they take advantage of their status.... I am sorry to have to write this, but in fact it has all turned out that students are stealing jobs from the unemployed. This should not happen in a developed country, or a country that is supposed to be one. I hope, however, that the state does not support this student work just for the sake of better statistics or fewer people on the unemployment register. So, employ the unemployed, let the students study, which is their job, and let the state finance the education of those who are not financially able to do so, or at least make it possible to take out loans which they would later repay when they are employed. That is the way it is done in developed countries. If the government does not do this, we too should not wonder why we will all have to work until the age of 65. With the system that Slovenia has at the moment, that is to be expected. Who else will actually work and contribute to the pension fund?
