It is really necessary to finally introduce a wealth tax in our country.
A wealth tax should be introduced on all assets that are more than the average family needs to live on by some standard, e.g. more than one house, one flat, more than 1 ha of land. This should also take into account kinship relationships, as those who have a lot of property divide it up. How much uncultivated land is there in this country, how many buildings are falling into disrepair, are not being maintained, etc.?
The tax collected would fill the state coffers considerably, and this money could be used to help the socially weak, especially young families.
