I propose that individuals be allowed to opt out of the compulsory pension and health insurance system. At the moment, we are all forced to pay high health insurance contributions, which are mostly lost in abnormally high doctors' salaries, over-dimensioned medical staff and personal benefits in a totally corrupt drug trade. Similarly with pension contributions. Over 40 years of working life, an individual will pay in EUR 150 000 - 200 000, which he or she will never see again. When it comes time to start the pension, all future governments will make excuses that there is no money because of negative demographic trends and other such assumptions.... I propose to introduce a completely voluntary pension and health insurance. In order to prevent social tragedies, it should be a condition that a sum of, for example, at least EUR 100 000 be deposited or that a mortgage be taken out on a property in the above-mentioned equivalent amount, which would be used to pay off the costs of any medical treatment or pension of the uninsured person. I am convinced that the abolition of compulsory insurance would make health services and the cost of public administration in general much cheaper, as the state would be interested in getting as many people as possible into the voluntary insurance system, which could only be achieved through low-cost services and transparent and rational management.
