Hello. I propose that the Government adopt a legal act to ban winter service providers from gritting. So that the situation on regional and local roads is the same as it is on the motorway. The fact is that gritting is only sufficient for the few vehicles that drive on the road immediately after the gritting has been carried out. As they move, the stones are swept to the side of the road and the part of the carriageway where the tyres are located is left empty, so that the stones that are on the road serve no purpose. Even more. It causes damage to vehicles because when vehicles drive at high speed over the parts of the road where there are stones, they are lifted up and fly into oncoming vehicles, damaging them. It also does not work on inclines, as the effect is the same as on flat surfaces. The speeds we are reaching, i.e. over 50 km/h, cause such acceleration of this debris that the pebbles actually cause nothing more than damage to the vehicles. I propose that the Winter Service Regulations be amended to prohibit the spreading of stones on the roads. However, salt gritting should be stepped up or gritting should be carried out with more environmentally friendly substances. Thank you.
