Hello. I propose that the government regulate subsidies and credit for the purchase of new and used pure electric vehicles, as well as for plug-in hybrids. I also propose to raise the grants - subsidies - for the purchase of all the above-mentioned vehicles. It is true that electric vehicles do not produce CO2 emissions in their operation and are therefore greener, if we call them that. It is also true, however, that at the moment they are also relatively useless for longer journeys, as it takes too long to charge their batteries. So, somehow, the choice of a plug-in hybrid seems to me to be the better choice, because it eliminates two birds with one stone. I could drive to work almost for free, as I would be using purely electric power, and the commute to and from work represents something like 85% of my total vehicle use. But I could also use it for longer journeys, where I would not have to worry about how to charge it, because if the battery runs out, mobility is not hindered. Personally, I think that at the moment plug-in hybrids are a more practical solution for those who are within 25 km of their workplaces, as most plug-in hybrids have a range of about 50 km. This means that the vast majority of people, for most of the use of the vehicle, would be driving it purely on electricity (assuming that they charge it every day when they get home from work). This would make for a cleaner environment. That is why I do not understand why the ECO Fund is reducing the level of subsidies for electric vehicles and not at all for plug-in hybrids. The only option here is to take out a favourable loan (see link ekosklad.si/public/prebivalstvo/pridobite-spodbudo/seznamite-spodbud. I believe that there should also be grants for the purchase of plug-in hybrids, because this is the only way to motivate people to start thinking about these transport alternatives and thus to gradually phase out vehicles that use only internal combustion engines as their sole means of transport. At the moment, plug-in hybrids are not worth buying. There are several calculators on the internet that allow you to calculate the cost of electricity. Personally, I can say that if I were to use a plug-in hybrid, the journey to and from work (approx. 50 km) would cost me only €1.5 per day (if I charged it at night at a lower rate). When you do the math, you can see that these vehicles are very useful and cost-effective (for those who have to do most of their driving up to 50 km), as they would only use electricity. In the hope that as many of us as possible contribute to improving climate change, I call on the government and those responsible to start taking concrete action and offering real incentives and solutions for the population, rather than simply drawing up cursory climate strategies which remain, for the most part, a dead letter on paper. Thank you and lp.
