Since "there are only one million of us" has not been true for some time, and the Slovene language is in a large minority, I propose to abolish the automatic granting of Slovene citizenship to all whose future parents will not already have Slovene citizenship. Many people have migrated to Slovenia and given birth to children here who have automatically been granted Slovenian citizenship, even though these immigrants cannot even communicate in Slovenian. As a result, even the children do not speak Slovene, even though they have Slovene citizenship, and this is spreading rapidly. There are also many who were born to parents from the former Commonwealth (from the southern countries) and still speak a foreign language at home. These people now have Slovene citizenship and they also have the habit of looking for wives from other Yugoslav countries who then give birth in our country, and so again citizenship is given to people who are not even able to communicate in Slovene. As can be seen from the streets, such families then live only on social assistance and, hoping for more social assistance, they multiply even more (i.e. fewer jobs and more aid recipients!!!!).
