My suggestion is that all 125cc motorcycles and scooters should be placed under the AM category, which is now the category for 50cc motorcycles and scooters, because driving a 50cc motorcycle and 45km on a 50cc road is very dangerous on all roads, because on a regional road you are squeezed to the side of the road, because everyone is overtaking you.It is important to note that you only have 20 cm of space to drive in, and there is a high chance of driving on a bank where you lose control of the bike.I therefore suggest that all bikes under 125 cc and speeding up to 90-100 km/h should be put under AM.
I also propose to abolish all mopeds that are limited to 25 km/h, because driving 25 km/h on a regional road is life-threatening, and you don't need a licence for this category.I propose to put mopeds that are now under the AM category under the category that now includes mopeds up to 25 km/h. Every day I meet 2 motorcyclists on a regional road who are driving 25 km/h with a red plate and there is a queue behind them because of oncoming vehicles.
I think it is high time that this issue was put on the agenda of Parliament once again.
